1 What we collect

Mindmeld uses Discord OAuth to identify you in a game session. When you authenticate, we receive only:

• Your Discord username
• Your Discord avatar (profile picture)

That's it. We do not request access to your messages, friends list, servers, email, or any other Discord data.

2 What we do not collect

• Email addresses or real names
• Personal data beyond your Discord username and avatar
• Payment information — Mindmeld is free
• Location, device identifiers, or IP addresses stored long-term
• Persistent user profiles or accounts

3 How your data is used

Your Discord username and avatar are used only to display you inside the game — so other players know who's in the lobby and who submitted which answer after a round ends.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose outside the game session itself.

4 Data retention

Mindmeld is session-only. Once a game ends, your data is not stored permanently. We do not maintain user accounts, persistent profiles, or historical game records tied to your identity.

5 Third-party services

Mindmeld relies on two external services:

• Discord API — used to authenticate players via Discord OAuth. Governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini API — used to generate trivia questions and Quiplash prompts. No player data is sent to Gemini; only the request for a question is made.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any other third parties.

6 Children's privacy

Mindmeld requires a Discord account. Discord's minimum age requirement is 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a user under 13 has accessed Mindmeld, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Mindmeld after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
